In a complete battery management system, it is usually necessary to measure the internal resistance, temperature, voltage of single battery and the current of battery string. Measuring the current of the battery pack is very important, because the battery management system needs to judge the charge and discharge state of the system by the direction of the current, and then stop or start the measurement of internal resistance.
However, the dynamic range of battery charge and discharge current is very wide. There are not only milliampere floating charge current, tens of ampere charging current, but also 100 ampere discharge current.
So far, most of the existing current monitoring schemes use Hall current sensor to measure current. However, the Hall current sensor is not sensitive enough, resulting in large measurement error in low current state. Therefore, end users often complain that when the load is completely disconnected, the monitoring system still displays a current of several amperes, which makes the battery manufacturer unable to explain clearly to the customer. This is because the zero error of Hall current sensor is large and unstable.
Based on the full understanding of battery charge and discharge, PAS technology has developed advanced fluxgate technology current sensor FDIB-C16-H and other series.
Due to the use of advanced fluxgate technology, the magnetic core of this series of products is complete without magnetic leakage, and the ultra-high sensitivity meets the requirements of measuring small floating charge current, so that the sensor can accurately measure the ultra-wide measurement range of current from tens of mA to 400 A, and can perfectly monitor the charge and discharge current of the battery.
